The Quack Off is an annual event held on the last Saturday of January. Thousands of people gather in Avoca from all over Nebraska, surrounding states, and even nation wide to race a live duck!  The Quack Off is the primary fundraiser for the Avoca Volunteer Fire Department. It is a family event with fun for everyone!

On behalf of the Avoca Fire Department we'd like to thank all of you for making this year Quack Off an outstanding one! By the size of the crowd this year was another record breaking one. You all are amazing and we appreciate you greatly for your support of our small town! Lookin' forward to another great year next year. Thank you all!
