Halloween takes place in the fall and comes from ancient Celtic tradition. They believed that ghosts roamed on Halloween and people would wear disguises in order to hide from these spirits.

Baby Cafés are licensed sites run by trained staff that provide a high-quality standard of care for breastfeeding families. Please join us every Tuesday, starting October 1^st, from 10am-noon, at the Sarpy/Cass Health Department for pregnancy and breastfeeding support. Let's Reunite this photo with it's owner!

Recently I was in Nebraska City when I ran into an old friend. As we were visiting, another lady overheard that I used to live in Plattsmouth and showed me this photo. She said she lives in or near Percival, Iowa and after the recent flooding this photo was found on her property. Because of the background showing Steube's Jack and Jill, we determined it was taken in front of the former Community Center across the street. It looks like it could have been a milestone birthday celebration or retirement party. The date on the photo is June 24, 2006. Area Food Banks

The Louisville Area Food Bank will be open on the first and third Thursdays of the month from 6-7 p.m. The food bank is located in the First Christian Church 304 Main St. next to Copple's in Louisville. Low income residents are welcome to come to the twice a month give away. Please bring a box to put items in. This food bank is for residents of the Louisville Public School District.

Questions contact Pastor Cathy at 402-677-9606 or Pastor Bob at 402-234-2055. The Louisville Area Food Bank is always looking for donations of food as well.
