Fun Fact Image 2

When was the first St. Patrick's Day parade?

Since around the ninth or 10th century, people in Ireland have been observing the Roman Catholic feast day of St. Patrick on March 17. The first St. Patrick’s Day parade took place not in Ireland but in America. Records show that a St. Patrick’s Day parade was held on March 17, 1601 in a Spanish colony in what is now St. Augustine, Florida.

A Sarpy or Cass County resident can register for an appointment at a clinic in either Sarpy or Cass County.

Please remember at this time we are prioritizing residents who are born in 1956 or earlier to receive COVID- 19 vaccine. Due to the number of residents that are currently eligible to receive a vaccine and the limited amount of vaccine in our community, it may take a few weeks to vaccinate everyone in this age group. Please be patient as appointments fill up quickly.

You are responsible for scheduling your own appointment for a COVID-19 vaccination appointment.  If you need assistance, please consider asking a friend or family member to assist you in scheduling an appointment.

If you have any questions regarding the COVID-19 vaccine or if you are having difficulties scheduling an appointment, please call the Sarpy/Cass Department at 402-339-4334 and press 1.  Phones are answered Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
